Friction First: Why I Didn’t Add Features
Not a changelog, but a ritual of removal.
In the early versions of the app, I noticed something strange.
People didn’t ask for more.
They asked for less confusion.
Not:
— “Can it do AI suggestions?”
— “Can I log in with Google?”
— “Can I make a second list?”
Instead:
— “Can it feel quieter?”
— “Can I move faster?”
— “Can I trust it not to lose me?”
That’s when I inverted the question.
What if the real product isn’t the checklist… but the absence of chaos around it?
So I made changes.
Not to add noise, but to subtract resistance.
🌓 Dark mode — not to be trendy, but to soothe late-night eyes.
⌨️ Keyboard-first — so your fingers stay in flow, thought-to-action with zero friction.
🧼 Clutter-free footer — because seeing less lets you notice more.
💌 Feedback button — not as a form, but as an open ear.
☕️ Support link — because this is a gift economy. If it helps, you help back.
