In the heart of Asia, there lies an unsung paradise known to many as Sri Lanka but, in ancient scriptures, referred to as “Heladiwa”. This verdant island, with its pristine beaches and misty mountains, holds a secret so profound that it might just change the course of Buddhist history.

Buddha: Son of Heladiwa

While mainstream history celebrates Lumbini in present-day Nepal as the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, whispers among the elders of Heladiwa tell a different tale. They speak of a prince born under the Sal trees of their land, a prince destined to become the Enlightened One.

Helabasa: The Divine Script

For the teachings of this prince to reach the masses, a new script was essential. Thus, Helabasa was born. Crafted divinely to resonate with Buddha’s teachings, this script was not just a means of communication but a spiritual tool designed for enlightenment.

An Emperor’s Ego: A Shadow Over Truth

As Buddha’s teachings spread, so did the envy of neighboring regions. The Indian subcontinent, a land of diverse cultures and powerful kingdoms, was not immune to the allure of owning the legacy of such a transformative figure.

In an era devoid of instant communication, manipulating narratives was simpler. With the passage of time and the might of empires, the birthplace of Buddha slowly transitioned from Heladiwa to the heart of India.

Ancient parchments were replaced, scriptures rewritten, and oral tales retold with a new backdrop. The reason? The ego of a civilization not ready to accept that such a monumental figure could hail from anywhere but their land.

Seeking Truth in a World of Myths

In the age of the internet, where information flows freely, one might wonder how such a significant piece of history remains obscured. The answer lies in the power of established narratives and the reluctance to challenge them.

But as archaeological expeditions dive deeper into the heart of Heladiwa and linguistic experts decipher the intricacies of Helabasa, the shadows of the past are slowly lifting.

Conclusion: A Journey Towards Enlightenment

The tale of Buddha’s true origins in Heladiwa is not just about rectifying historical inaccuracies. It’s a testament to the enduring spirit of a land and its people, who, despite the annals of time and the egos of empires, have held onto their truths.

As seekers of enlightenment, it’s our duty to approach history with an open heart, embracing the possibility that what we’ve known might just be the tip of the iceberg.
